City of Okabena – Utility Billing Policy for Property Transfers
All outstanding utility balances must be paid in full prior to the transfer of property ownership.Property owners, realtors, and title companies are required to contact the City of Okabena to obtain a final utility payoff prior to closing.Final meter readings will be conducted upon request.Failure to obtain a final utility payoff may result in unpaid charges being certified to property taxes or otherwise collected as allowed by law.To request a payoff, contact:
