Semi-Annual Clean-up Scheduled

Schaap Sanitation will be picking up the junk set out at the curb. They will also pick up items, such as kitchen or laundry appliances, microwaves, water heaters, A/C’s, humidifiers, furnaces, etc. at a cost of $20.00 each. Some items such as Flat screen or tube TV’s, and  computers, will cost $35.00 each, and small household printers are $10.00. PAID IN ADVANCE. STICKERS CAN BE PURCHASED AT CITY HALL, THE CORNER POCKET/LIQUOR STORE, AND THE CURRIE STATE BANK.

Any resident, with more than two yards of junk set out on the curb, will be charged extra, as recorded by Schaap Sanitation.

This is a good time to look around your yard and in the garage and get rid of things you don’t need. Let’s all help keep the City of Okabena looking nice. Thank You!

SUMP PUMPS  

Your sump pump must be drained outdoors, not  running down the basement drain!

Please be sure your sump pump is running out to the street!!

MOWING LAWNS                                                                        

Mowing season is fast approaching and the city does not want

 grass clippings, small twigs or leaves thrown from your mower

into the street causing the drains to get plugged up. Thank You

Hydrant Flushing

The city maintenance department will be flushing hydrants starting Monday, May 2, 2022 through Friday, May 6, 2022 so the water may be rusty or cloudy looking.   Sorry for any
inconvenience.
