Federated Rural Electric would like to inform residents of Okabena and the public of a planned power outage that will take place starting on Wednesday, April 8th at 3:30 pm and lasting approximately 30 minutes. This outage is necessary to allow our line crews to safely remove existing utility poles that are in conflict with the installation of the new water lines currently being constructed along Okabena St. and throughout the community.
We understand that power interruptions can be inconvenient, and we appreciate the patience and cooperation of our members as Bollig Engineering and Duininck complete this important infrastructure improvement. These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the reliability and efficiency of essential services within the city.
In the yellow circle, the pic below is where our crews will be working. The three red dots represent the poles being removed as the Duininck crews install a water line on the west side of Okabena St. just north of Elevator Dr.
